There’s nothing quite like a good book.
Good books engage our imagination, our senses, and our emotions in a way that other mediums can’t. Good books inspire us to root for their heroes, despise their villains, and feel compassion for those who suffer. Only when we have set the book aside do we realize we have been experiencing tumultuous emotions on behalf of people who do not exist.
We might feel silly at the realization but if we’re reading a truly good book, we won’t care. Good books allow us space to care about things, places, and people who aren’t real and, hopefully, give our hearts more space to care for the things, places, and people who are.

I’ll be mostly reviewing books within the genre I write (Science Fiction/Fantasy), but I also have a smattering of Biographies, Histories, and Graphic Novels which I love. New reviews will go up every Friday.
